friday night was fun fair at max's school.
he told me and matt he was meeting up with some friends there...which i'm thinking was code for "i just needed a ride here...you guys go find a wall to lean on...i'll catch up with you later"...
we spent the whole night running after he and his little friends through crowds and in and out of rooms. never too far behind him if he needed us.
and i guess that's the beautiful thing about little ones growing up. you can sit back and enjoy the view...or frantically chase after them waving tickets and promises of cotton candy. either way, it was funny getting to see a glimpse of independent max in his own element.
with inflatables.
and at least we got this book out of the deal.
those teeth!
dear max, you're getting too big. stop that.
love, mama.
Independent Max is adorable! I especially love his shoes. What good parents you both are to let him stretch his wings but know he can come back to the nest any time.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday sweet Katie! <3
I just found your blog last week via Sometimes Sweet, and I have to say, I AM COMPLETELY SMITTEN.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you tell your stories, and the photos are gorgeous! Thank you for brightening my day (and many others I'm sure).
I have a little boy, and he's starting to put some distance between him and Mama's invisible leash. Hard to watch, but fun to watch too. I feel you Mama, they grow up too fast.
Awww! You all look so pretty and happy!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! I think it's amazzing to see people come into their own. I have a cousin who was ready to be king at five, with a sister who is about to turn 18 and is still a little unsure. Everyone is different and it's a beautiful thing. =]
ReplyDeleteaaww so cute! i am sure it is hard to see them grow up! my niece gets bigger every minute and her sentences make more and more sense..she is getting too smart for her own good! hehehe but it is fun to see them grow and how their personalities evolve! someday i will be watching my own <3
