our little garden is thriving and growing and is a real beauty!
max was right. it's just like magic.
today i clipped some lettuce and we had our first sun-kissed summer garden lunch.
and my goodness, did it taste just that much sweeter knowing we've taken care of it all along the way.
although, i think we may have planted a bit too much.
dear local friends and family, expect little bundles of vegetable gifts wrapped in a bow on your porches this fall.
xoxo
I miss gardening! I should pick it back up again; I loved having fresh tomatoes and lettuce. On a bit of a side note, your outfit is so pretty in these pictures. Where is your skirt from?
ReplyDeletechristy! isn't it something to just go out back for fresh food? it's funny how abnormal that concept has become.
ReplyDeletep.s. thank you so much! my skirt is from urban outfitters!
That looks yummy! I can't wait to have a garden. I have been trying to do grow some small herbs though, like mint and rosemary, because they do okay in apartments. :) Your veggie collection is so impressive! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, this makes me want a lettuce garden so bad!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the space for a garden. Veggies straight out of the garden=amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Wish I could snag a bundle! <3
ReplyDeletecongrats on your first home grown salad! i had mine not too long ago and i pine for more of it! i need to plant more veggies! i might try more spices though as i just LOVE having fresh herbs right at my finger tips!

yes! freshies, grown with love. tastes so much better than those leaves from acres and acres that don't get to see smiles, hear songs, and get fed one precious little plant at a time. happy garden, happy bellies!
ReplyDeletewe've been eating fresh herbs like crazy--especially basil! mmmm. :) and we almost have tomatoes. so close!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome. That looks super tasty.

What a beautiful harvest! Nothing beats fresh from your soil. Yay! Summer!
ReplyDeleteso jealous of your garden! my husband and i have been talking about starting a potted garden for like a year now--i want one so bad! beautiful photos :)
ReplyDeleteJust read your old post from 2007 about the "MC Hammer Carrot pants" and was cracking up... we have pulled a bunch of those out of the garden this year and I thought, what on earth is this! So funny, glad we aren't the only ones.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm living vicariously through your garden because I don't have one this year! Looks great.
