today has been the pits.
i don't write that very often, do i? haha.
but the beauty of a crumby day is the constant opportunity to turn it all around...change your mind...or at the least, put it into perspective. it could always, always, be worse.
today i'm thankful for the scattered toys and tiny boy messes every which way i turn. my son is healthy...happy...imaginative. he is at home here. it's a comforting mess to trip over.
i'm thankful for the quiet of the afternoon. for the chance to regroup...rest my mind...and avoid work under a blanket fort with season one 30 rock reruns.
and here's the thing...
the crumbs are blessings. they make the good things look just that much shinier.
they're reminders that we still have some tweaking to do, patience to gain, skills to learn.
today i'm thankful for the crumbs.

they have been making my november weeks!
My mom always said that the crumbs meant we had so much to eat that we could spread it around. :)

ReplyDeleteKatie, I'm totally feelin' ya on using crumby days as an opportunity to turn it all around - sometimes (okay, often) I'm horrible at it, other times I have more grace. ;)
