settling snow

i picked up max from school this afternoon and we've been spending all of our time by the window...watching the gloomy rain turn into snow (finally!)...listening to water boiling on the stove...and making plans for sweets and a movie in mama's bed.

we're settling in for the night and have our fingers crossed that the snow does the same...we've got some sledding to do!

    Snowed in here in Chicago. Made a cake and hot cocoa waiting for us and the neighbors tonight. Enjoy the snow!

    I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed about the snow arriving because I've been so spoiled by the spring like weather recently. But this post has gotten me excited about it :)

    movies in mama's bed are the best! since jon works nights that always my little treat with the boys ;)
