february has us counting the days...on the 21st we get to find out what our little one is!
as much as i love surprises, i'm also very much a peeker...a present shaker. sometimes a surprise is just too great! i'm bursting to find out!
max and i made a paper chain last night to start counting the days away. max has his fingers crossed for a baby brother but i don't get a feeling either way with this baby. (no matter what the little sailor dress at target says...oh how it sings to me. haha)
so, what do you think we're having?

YAY! so soon!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, so far it's 100% girl!
ReplyDeleteFebruary 21st is my birthday! A little baby girl would be such a lovely surprise!

I love that first picture! You two are so precious.
ReplyDeletei think its a boy the way your belly is shaped. your so cute pregnant:).
ReplyDeleteI think it's so much more interesting when you find out WHO you're having: I think maybe an artistic soul with twinkling eyes, and a sense of humour that makes people stand stalk-still because of moments of brilliance.
ReplyDeletei love the chain idea. so cute.
ReplyDeletei love and hate surprises. i even hate to know that there's a surprise!
these photos are so darling <3
the chain is such a fun idea! i too am a present shaker and peeker. i am not very good with surprises! i cast my vote as a girl. can't wait to see what it may be!

aww paper countdown chains are the best. i'm so excited for your sweet little family! and maybe it's just wishful thinking for you two since i have no clue, but i hope you have a little baby girl :)
ReplyDeletealso, i love hayden's comment. that must be a wonderful part of being a parent- watching your babies grow up into their own real people.
I vote boy! Just a feeling I have. However, I know either will be equally adorable and as beautifully photographed. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for a couple/few weeks now... always leaving inspired and full of love... this is my first comment.
ReplyDeleteOh yes find out find out! lol. We too could never wait... we "cheated" for all four of our pregnancies as waiting was just too... well way wait anyway? It didn't matter either way, but there was something about knowing... being able to put a name to a soul that made both of our hearts happy. Another fun thing to do if you haven't already is checking out the Chinese Lunar Calendar (just for laughs... although it was accurate for us each time... strange). Here is a link: http://www.thelaboroflove.com/chart/cal.html#.Tym-aFyJcyE
Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy and a beautiful delivery.
Danielle
Hoping for a girl!
ReplyDeleteI voted girl. I just see you as a mom of girls :) And Max, of course!
ReplyDeletei voted girl. i usually have to be around someone to get that feeling, but i think you're gonna have a girl. i'm right about these things about 9 times out of 10... i think, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteGIRL! You know I had that dream where I saw you holding a baby girl with dark hair. I also think you are carrying TOTALLY like a girl. I don't think I'm wrong as I've never been wrong once when I guess girl. We shall see....
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a little miss!
ReplyDeleteWas it the Gwen Stefani sailor dress? I don't even have kids but I kinda wanted to buy it anyway, haha. Whichever you have, he or she is going to be the luckiest!
ReplyDeleteHoping for a beautiful little girl with long bright red hair...oh yes...with an amazing artistic flair.
ReplyDeleteeeeeep! how exciting!
ReplyDeletei voted for girl, but i'm useless and usually it's the opposite...so it's probably going to be a little boy. either way, what a lucky bubba to be born into such a loving home. i can't wait to hear the news. i love the idea of counting down the days with the chain!
know the exact target sailor dress!! we have. LOL!! exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI voted "doll" because that sailor dress at Target was singing to me too!!

ReplyDeletealso! boyfriend's sister is having twins in april (boy & girl- so rad)! i bought that target sailor dress too, ha!
ReplyDeleteI would like to request a baby belly picture from your pregnancy with Max. I need it to properly compare.
ReplyDeleteAmazing belly. I know the dress you are swooning over, Katie. I have almost bought it for myself to just hold and look at time and time again. No matter...you are gonna have a sweet sweet little bumblebug. Cannot wait to find out!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone (including me) is hoping it's a girl. You sure carry it like a boy though... just a bump in the front. ;)

You're carrying like it's a little dirt jumper, just sayin.
ReplyDeleteI am like you I don't think I would be able not to find out--especially when you know they know.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!
i was hoping for option 3: twins! :) boy or girl, you make the most gorgeous mom-to-be, katie.
ReplyDeletethe girl cloths get me every time!! you look stunning katie ;) and i love your shoes. i almost bought them and then put them back to save money. now i wish i got them!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Apparently I voted what everyone else is thinking ;) These pictures are adorable, fyi. And your outfits are so gorgeous! Where'd you get that pretty top?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you Matt and Max! I think its a girl!!

Looks like a doll to me! So excited for you both!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyour guys are so cute! I love the chain idea, congrats to you :)
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh I saw the SAME sailor dress at target last week and nearly died. I find out what I'm having on the 7th- so I'm with you- I can't wait!! :) I think you're having a girl, simply for the fact that your belly is high and very compact. That's how mine was with my girl. With my first, a boy, my belly was low and WIDE! I think everyone elses pregnant belly is so much cuter than mine.. sigh. Haha, at least we know this part doesn't last forever. Anyway, can't wait to find out what you are having, and see more of Max's sweet posts too. Much love to you!
ReplyDeletethis has got to be the cutest little idea i have ever seen. i love making little paper chains just for fun. yay!

ReplyDeleteBig hug.
i just voted "girl" and it looks like SHE is winning by a landslide! can't wait to find out! ;)
ReplyDeletethat bump of yours is one of the cutest i've ever seen!
ReplyDeletelook! we all think you're having a girl (i just chose girl because i'm having a girl, and that would be fun...)
ReplyDeleteyou are so, so pretty. no surprise that you wear pregnancy so well!
oh my goodness. your photos are absolutely amazing. i love the classic look that you have, so gorgeous and how your husband is all bearded and dreaded and tattooed. hehe...maybe that sounds funny but you're a beautiful pair.
