Looks like this was a perfect date! So curious to know how you got that first fantastic shot of the two of you. Did you set the self-timer or did you ask the server to take it, and if so, did they think you weren't ready for the picture because you weren't staring into the camera with big smiles on your faces? (that's what happens whenever a stranger kindly takes a shot of us ... they always wait until we're looking straight at the camera before they'll press the button!) Either way, it's a great shot!
thanks, mama! we set the timer! it's always a little embarrassing and we have to take a few for laughing, but always worth capturing all of us in the end!
Oh my gosh, those baby and daddy pictures are so sweet they hurt. It's even cuter that Matt is all gruff and hair and tattoos melting over that little girl. So freaking precious!
These photos are truly works of art. Simply beautiful, simple images. Please don't take this the wrong way... but I am loving how you aren't hiding your "post baby bump", it frustrates me when woman think they should go back to having a flat stomach immediately after the baby is born! You look amazing Katie, so radiant and relaxed and most of all happy, such a proud mama. oh and Phoebe is adorable... but you knew that ;)
thank you, miss! as much as i wish i could hide it, that left over baby bump is definitely there...and i guess i'm not too stressed about it..haha! (hence the picture of the fried risotto on my plate..haha) but really you're right, there will be plenty of time to work out when i'm fully rested and feeling whole again.
Trust me there is no rush, enjoy this special time with your girl as it goes so quickly! That is honestly my only advice to you. You look wonderful Katie, truly.
i just discovered your gem of a blog and i am so glad i did! :) these pictures are stunning. what a beautiful family. i also love your outfit--i just got a pleated skirt the other day which i'm having hemmed at the moment. and your newborn (and her name!) is adorable :)
LOVE the images of your family. We have also continued to do date night once a week since our little man was born, eight months ago.
Julie ps, my logic is that it takes 40 week to make a baby, that women should get themselves 40 weeks to get back to their pre-baby shape and stop pressuring ourselves to look like the "stars" do.
You and your beautiful family make me so excited to start the next chapter in our little life. You are a lovely, natural beauty, and your man is a total babe -- I have serious hair envy right now. Oh, and the wee bundle? Well she looks good enough to eat :)
Katie, your maternity and now post-maternity style continues to inspire me! Have you ever done a post about your personal maternity style/philosophy? I would love to hear how you did it (because I don't recognize a ton of Target maternity wear on here!) ;)
Love these photographs. You look beautiful katie!
