it's been hot hot hot around here! i took the bobbins to our favorite spot for ice cream yesterday after school and max ate a cone the size of his head while sis stuck her little fingers into anything and everything sticky. there's something about sweets and bare baby thighs that can make you forget all about the heat and start counting the days until summer...
OK, now you´ve made me crave ice-cream BIG time..! :-D
ReplyDeletewhat a fun afternoon!

ReplyDeleteMy Phoebe is going to start in a little childcare situation next week. How has it been going bringing her to the studio with you?

it's been tough for sure...especially now that she is rough and tumble and crawling every which way! haha. she'll last about and hour or so in the pack and play. it's not ideal but it's working for now! matt and i are working on setting up a schedule where i can go to the studio alone while he stays home with bee. fingers crossed!
Deletebest of luck to you with your little phoebe! let me know how your childcare turns out!
These photos!!!!! Too precious Katie!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, and such a fun after scho surprise/snack. We did the same thing last weekend with our 1 & 2 year old. The younger one couldn't have cared less, but the older one...she couldn't get enough!

You have such a beautiful way of capturing the everyday pleasures of life and motherhood. Thank you for your blog and creativity. It inspires me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! Max makes that cone look SOOO good! Enjoy those sunny days with your little ones. Your post makes me nostalgic. I miss those times. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletePlaces like this remind me so much of my childhood. It's so rad that there are still little mom and pop shops for kids now to look back so fondly on. PS. Can't wait for summer!

natalie, thank you so so much!
Deletei use a 50 mm 1.4 almost always...although these were taken with a 50mm 1.8 (my 1.4 just recently went kaput on me...aaahhh!)
best and best to you!
From one ginger lady to another, Bee's hair is looking downright copper penny in that sunny photo on the bottom! How fun :) My little girl has turned up as a strawberry blond which is fun since I was the only carrot top in the family.
ReplyDeleteBest,

I recently discovered your blog and I was just going through old archives, I know this post is a bit older at this point-but I had to say OMG! I just adore the pastel colors and the dreaminess about these shots. Nice work. :)
