at the drive-in
one of our favorite summer traditions is seeing a movie at the drive in down the street...piling up blankets and pillows from off the beds and gathering up sweets to throw in the back of the car. it was a wild time having phoebe sue in the mix this year! i had the highest hopes of getting her to fall asleep before the movie started...but that gal was all over the car...stealing licorice sticks and throwing pizza at max, dumping drinks and trying to monster growl at the neighbors in the cars next to us. haha. ack! good thing the drive in is just dreamy enough to make me want to do it all over again and again...

I love this! I just discovered drive-ins in our area and can't wait to go. You make it look so vintage dreamy fun.
ReplyDeleteI love going to the drive in. We have one kind of near me and it's always fun to go for the double feature and bring lawn chairs to sit!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a drive in since college when we would go to the one in Hamilton to escape the "bubble" of Oxford. Now that I have an suv with a hatchback I'll have to give it another go.
ReplyDeleteI´d love to go to a drive in - don´t know if there are any here in Sweden though! :-)

The drive-in is one of my favorite summer dates! There's just something about the open sky. I really wants to see Monsters University this weekend as well (never too old for Disney).

ReplyDeleteYour photos are absolutely beautiful! I've followed your tutorial and just can't seem to get mine looking as crisp and clean.
That is awesome! I wish we had one near us, although here in Florida it would probably be too miserable. I'll just enjoy it vicariously through your photos.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to have taken my girls to a drive in to see this. Unfortunately, there is not one close to us.
ReplyDeleteHahahah how cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a wonderful moment peeking into your life. There's such a nostalgia to it all. Simpley beautiful.

ReplyDeleteOh man...I miss the drive in! We had one here until about 15 years ago when the property was purchased and a bank was thrown on the land. Gross. There is one i another county but it is so. far. away. Ugh. Welp, I'm glad that there are still drive ins around the country...they really are the best!
