tricks and treats
our tricks and treats was a little bit patched together this year but still one of my favorite nights. bee wore the same bumblebee costume max wore when he was 1...it did my heart so much good to see that little stinger buzzing around again. max went as minecraft steve and i can't even begin to tell you the shenanigans that came along with that square head (silent shirtless dancing steve, creeping up and staring at you in the dark steve, "stop that please, you're scaring your sister" steve).
the night ended with a dance party at home and pillowcase candy with lots of sticky fingers and chicken tacos before bed. a fine way to send off our halloween.
Love the photos! I guess I am the only person who didn't know about minecraft...I saw so many kids this year with big ol' box heads and I didn't know what was going on!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that's one adorable bumble bee!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Katie love, that's so cute, I can't take it! I know we are kindred spirits and have gotten used to seeing familiarity in your life with your own unique twist, but this made me squeal at how we share a special memory (though you've got the "bee" nickname to boot!) My girl was wearing practically the same suit that was Everyn's as a babe as well. http://www.writeintights.com/2013/10/halloween-halloween.html#.UnktWJH0He4
ReplyDeleteHappiest Halloween season! Hope you find our serendipity just as special as I do. Hehe!
Dude, Max's outfit is killer. I'm super jealous.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos as always. And the bumblebee outfit, aw!!

My boys were both bumblebees too! That's the sweetest costume for little ones I think. You all looked great for tricks and treats. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you photograph...little pieces that put together tell a whole story. I'm taking an "expressing yourself creatively" class and my teacher discussed that somewhat tonight and I thought of your blog. It was a perfect example.
Phoebe is super cute as a little bumble bee, but Max's costume is epic! Sounds like a good time was had by all :-)

ReplyDeleteMax's costume is great! I just love your photography, especially how you mixed in the photos of the leaves.
ReplyDeleteoh no, hoping it's just me but I can't see any of your photos. It says you need additional bandwidth for photobucket. Maybe it's just a glitch?
