Phoebe's big girl room
Happy happy New Year, friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We've been spending the last few weeks hunkering down together, soaking up the holidays and time with each other. The kids are back to school now and wheels are spinning trying to get back into the swing of things.
Sis got a big girl bed just after Christmas and a whole new sense of self along with it! Lots of shutting the door to be alone in her room...tucking everyone from babies to dada under her covers and tons of pretend sleeping (and not a whole lot of real sleeping). It's been funny and sweet to watch her take pride in a space for herself. Official big girl stuff around here!

So sweet- what a grand room! I dream of a home with white walls. I'm so glad you got to spend some time just enjoying life with those little bugs, excited to hopefully read more!

Her room is so Pinterest-esque. If that's even spelt correctly.
ReplyDeleteI love it. :)
absolutely love her room! :)
ReplyDeleteBitter sweet
ReplyDeleteLooks great! May I inquire as to where you purchased the bed? We've been looking for our daughters and am having the toughest time finding something simple but cute.... thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ashely!
DeleteThe bed is from IKEA...it's extendable to grow along with our kids. We love it so far! I'm not the biggest fan of the scrolling along the sides, but they cover up easy with blankets and pillows. haha.

Thank you so much! We're from Dayton too (well Englewood) and we're moving to Tipp soon. I thought moving would be the perfect opportunity to switch out the toddler beds finally! Thanks again! The room is gorgeous!
DeleteI second the question about the bed. Absolutely love how grown up it is! Did you paint over the gorgeous peonies that originally decorated Phoebe's walls or move to a different room? xo
ReplyDeleteThe bed is IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39034099/)
DeleteWe did paint over the peonies! They started taking over the room and just didn't feel right anymore. It was a very painful painting-over process. haha.
Absolutely love the room and that it's mostly white! Such a cute space! xx
ReplyDeleteThis room looks gorgeous!

I adore this room! I also love lots of white with a little color. Do you mind sharing where you got the gold lamp and the beautiful basket with the pink accents? I am trying to finally decorate my daughter's room after two years in our new home :) She is turning ten and I thought a lovely new room might make a fun birthday :)
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen! Thank you so much for the kind words. A new room is the best kind of birthday gift for your daughter!
DeleteThe gold lamp is from land of nod! And the basket is from Target ( I was there this morning and noticed they have gone on clearance!)
Best to you!
Thank you Katie!
